Kopek is a three
piece modern/alternative rock band from Dublin Ireland. The band is
set to release their debut album on Religion Music June 29th
2010 titled “White Collar Lies”;
however Kopek has been together as a band for nearly ten years and
have toured extensively in that time. Kopek’s members are Daniel
Jordan (vocals/guitar), Shane Cooney (drums), and Brad Kinsella
(bass guitar). Kopek performs like a band mature beyond their
musical years. This certainly must play a part in their amazing
depth of talent at such a tender age as a musical unit.

Dio Protestors Were
Idiots!
On May 30th, 2010 friends, family and associated artists gathered in Los
Angeles to memorialize
Ronnie James Dio.
Ronnie had a brilliant career and will be remembered as one of the founding
fathers of heavy metal. The memorial service caught the attention of a wacky
Christian group
(Westboro Baptist Church)
who devised the brilliant plan to protest the service. After all isn’t that
the loving Christian way to reach out to those who need to hear the gospel?
Give me a break! This kind of small minded behavior makes me sick!
I mean what are these peoples thought process? What do they think they
will accomplish by acting so small? It is people like the Westboro Baptist
Church that hurt the very cause of Christ, which they claim to be their
cause. These people don't even understand the God they claim to know and
worship. Jesus Christ was a man of love, peace and compassion. Jesus would
not condone this protest of hate, he would condemn it! I would dare say if
Jesus was there that day he would have been inside at the memorial giving
support and comfort to the hurting.
I find it to be so ironic when groups such as this feel moved to action
and only end up becoming enemies of God in the process, thus hurting the
Christian cause all together.
To the protestors I say shame on you! You have demonstrated hate to the
world, and worse you did it in the sacred name of Jesus Christ. Put down
your poster board and crayons, get on your knee’s and beg Gods forgiveness.
The next time you feel moved to act out in Gods name make sure it is to love
and heal and not hurt others. After all the man you were protesting may very
well be worth more in the eyes of God than you are!
To the Dio family, friends and fans I say please do not judge Christ
based upon the evil actions of these men and women, I assure you it is not a
true representation of who Jesus is….it is the opposite.
God Bless Ronnie James Dio!
